Firstly, my sincere thanks to Dr. Motiwala, you, Rabia and the entire team at the Dr. Motiwala Dental Clinic & Implant Centre for what I can only describe as an amazing experience. I am hopeful the following notes will encourage others who feel apprehensive about having major dental work carried out overseas to have the confidence everything can and will be taken care of in a thoroughly professional, ultra hygienic, and sensitive manner from start to finish.

As to my own circumstances, when much younger I sustained damage to my teeth in an accident resulting in some being knocked out and some being reset at unusual angles. Over the years I have had a partial denture that has been satisfactory but uncomfortable. Additionally, because of the way things were, I had an abundance of root canals, fillings and deteriorated teeth that made the whole eating experience difficult and unpleasant. This led to regular ulcers, bad gums and generally a poor state of oral hygiene, followed by extractions, leaving me with next to no teeth at all in my lower jaw to chew with.

Enough was enough and we started to research various options both in Australia and overseas.

At first the cost seemed highly prohibitive but then we discovered the designer and manufacturer of the implants you use.

After considerable research on the Dr. Motiwala website, we found abundant information and very cost-effective options. Of particular interest was the “pain free” method used particularly as I had made the decision to have all of my remaining teeth removed and replaced and the fact that I could have a full mouth rehabilitation. Of course, I was sceptical at first coming to grips with how everything could be achieved inside one week.

Nonetheless, the decision was made to pursue the treatment, and the initial enquiries were made. After that, of course I needed to obtain several blood tests, X-rays, and scans as I understood you needed them to properly evaluate how best to help me. Following receipt of plenty of information I then made my appointment times and arrangements to travel to Hyderabad and the adventure began.

Everything went according to schedule, from transit from the airport to the hotel, the initial consultation followed by all extractions and all implants being done the following day (17 out of about 20 in). I found it amazing that it could be done in such a short space of time and particularly because I felt no pain whatsoever.

Dr Motiwala was ever sensitive to the slightest twitch in my face that looked like it could be painful but that was more about water than anything else. At the end of the extractions and implants I was given a temporary set of teeth for cosmetic purposes and sent on my way for a day of rest. Again, no ongoing pain but sure, a little discomfort was felt as it’s only natural to have some after having so much work done.

The days passed with the ever-attentive Rabi and Tasneem checking up on how I was feeling. Then, the fitting and testing of the permanent teeth took place in a pretty seamless manner with short appointments just to make sure everything was in the right place. Now, a week later I have a mouth full of teeth and whilst I can’t eat anything other than a soft diet for a few months, the replacement teeth almost feel as though they have always been there.

If anyone had told me I could walk in one day with broken, missing, and bad teeth and walk out less than seven days later with a full set of sparkly new teeth I would have thought they were nuts but everything I read was true. I am now looking forward to getting back to a full diet in a few months once the implants and the bones have become one.

Again, my thanks and sincere appreciation for everything you have done and the way in which the treatment was carried out. My expectations were exceeded at every step of the way; Dr Motiwala and the team are to be most highly commended for the work they do and the truly sincere way with which they conduct themselves.

UPDATE FROM THE PATIENT 12 YEARS POST TREATMENT- 18 March 2026

In 2014, I first visited the dental clinic of Dr Motiwala for a full mouth restoration after many years of complications with damaged teeth and poor fitting dentures. This involved the removal of my remaining natural teeth and the installation of 18 implants as replacements with a full set of ceramic teeth fused to metal. That entire procedure was amazing from start to finish and I could not have been happier with the outcome.

At the beginning of February this year (2026) for several reasons including some natural ageing, I decided to explore what could be done to refresh the teeth that had served me well for 11.5 years. I did some reading on Dr Motiwala’s website about a new type of teeth (Zirconia) as an upgrade and solely due to the experience I had in 2014 with Dr Motiwala and the trust I placed in his skill and judgement, I started the process.

From the first point of contact with Farah, the international coordinator, it was very clear my trust in Dr Motiwala and the services of his clinic continued to be well founded.

Briefly, it went something like this, first contact my email 8th February / telephone contact with Farah 9th February / several emails back and forth exchanging information, providing a treatment plan recommended by Dr Motiwala and confirming dates 10th – 11th February / flights booked, accommodation booked and visa granted 13th – 19th February / arrival in Hyderabad 16th March and by 26th March, Job Done!

From beginning to end, everything was totally efficient and the outcome is, my original implants are cleaned up, I now have some additional implants for strength and stability and a full set of shiny new Zirconia teeth.

Although the above sounds simple in a few words, it must be said there are a lot of individual elements of the process that are attended to as part of the detailed treatment plan developed. These were executed by several members of Dr Motiwala’s team who all play their part to ensure nothing is missed. From the administration and patient management team to the treatment room teams it’s flawless and then there’s the magic of Dr Motiwala himself with his ever-watching eyes on every stage and, his meticulous care when it comes to the implants themselves.

The entire team are incredibly welcoming and friendly, sensitive to any patient needs and totally dedicated to the part they play. It’s very evident, a lot of emphasis is placed by Dr Motiwala on coaching his team in the work they do and, its clear they embrace that which is displayed by their constant observation of each other’s tasks.

Every part of the treatment process has a preciseness to it that you must witness yourself to understand how 100% accuracy is important in achieving the outcome. I have to say, I was amazed at the patience and persistence of Dr Deepti when it came to fitting my new teeth. I lost count of how many adjustments of what must have been micro fractions of a millimetre were made to ensure the bridgework fitted perfectly onto the implants and all the teeth lined up where they should be.

There’s a lot written and said on the internet about dental implants and every case is as individual as the person receiving the treatment.

This is my case and once more, I’m very happy with the outcome!
